Verity strives to provide as many services as possible to sexual assault and trauma victims in Sonoma County. In addition, victims may find the following organizations helpful.

Art Heals: Arte Sana (art heals) is a nonprofit agency for underserved survivors of gender and racial violence that promotes healing and empowerment through the arts and community education. Domestic Violence: National Center on Domestic and Sexual Violence. For local support, contact the YWCA.

Domestic Violence Resource Library: A very useful guide of domestic violence resources that is searchable by location, audience, and type of services offered. For local support, contact the YWCA.

Domestic Violence Financial Help & Planning: The goal of this resource is to enable women in domestic violence relationships to utilize this financial guide to provide options when stuck in a challenging situation. For local support, contact the YWCA.

Incest: Support for adult survivors of childhood incest.

Legal and Institutional Resources: Find US courts, jails, prisons, police departments, sheriffs, and district attorneys, including addresses, hours, phone numbers, and services.

Rape, Abuse, & Incest: The Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN) is the nation’s largest anti-sexual assault organization. RAINN carries out programs to prevent sexual assault, help victims and ensure that rapists are brought to justice.

Recovered Memories: This is a good compendium of research on recovered and repressed memory. This links to information on sexual assault and boys.

Sexual Violence: NSVRC – National Sexual Violence Resource Center – is a comprehensive collection and distribution center for information, statistics, and resources related to sexual violence.

Sexual & Domestic Violence in Later Life: Preventing and Responding to Domestic & Sexual Violence in Later Life

Silence Speaks: A website where survivors, witnesses, and prevention advocates diverse in age, race/ethnicity, religion, class, ability, gender, and sexual orientation can find the support, skills, and equipment they need to create original multimedia pieces about the impact that violence has had on their lives.

Teen Dating Violence: A simple guide on recognizing signs of teen dating violence.
