Janice (Jan) Blalock has been advocating for women and families her entire life. She was Chair of the Sonoma County Commission on the Status of Women for four of her eight years on the Commission, working to bring to light important issues such as affordable childcare, violence against women, human trafficking, increasing women in leadership roles, equal pay and much more.

She has worked as Education and Outreach Lead for the Sonoma County Human Trafficking Task Force since 2016 and was on the original Board of Directors for Redemption House of the Bay Area, providing support for Human Trafficking survivors in the Bay Area. Jan has also volunteered as a Crisis Line Counselor for Verity for three years. She is very excited to now work with this amazing team at Verity as a Board Member!
